Support and resistance, taught against the Bangkok open.

Soft Canvas Core is a small classroom on Chan Road for traders who keep drawing levels that do not survive the first hour. We mark overnight support and resistance on paper, then sit with the session until the leftover lines have to earn their keep.

The Chan Road room holds eight. The wall chart is marked before the cash open, not after a story has already formed.

A morning at the chart desk

Overnight lines first. The open second. New lines last, if at all.

  1. 01

    Print the unused levels

Before 09:30 we put last session’s untested highs and lows on paper. Round numbers wait in a side column so they do not masquerade as structure.

  2. 02

    Refuse the first half hour

The class watches which pre-marked support and resistance are visited. Adding a fresh range to explain a noisy opening print is treated as a mistake, not as skill.

  3. 03

    Ask the afternoon to confirm

After lunch the same sheets come back. A morning break that cannot recapture the level is written down as a failed retest, not as an invitation to invent a new thesis.

Twelve lines became three before the open.

Kittipong L. · SET day trader · intensive

“I arrived with twelve lines on every name I trade. Arun made me erase nine of them before the open. The remaining three were visited twice before noon; I still got shaken out of one short, but at least I could point to the line I had written at 09:05.”

A round number is a magnet, not a floor

Traders in the room love 1,600 and 80.00. Price often visits those figures. That does not mean they will hold the way a prior unused swing does.
